Return Policy

A photograph bought here is a digital file, delivered the moment you buy it, so it cannot be sent back the way a print can. What can be undone is the payment — in the cases below — and a refund takes the license with it.

I

Before you buy

Nothing is charged until you approve it yourself on the checkout page. You can see a preview of every photograph and read the whole license first, and a new account starts with a free credit so you can try one before paying anything.

II

When we refund

  • You were charged twice for the same photograph or the same period.
  • The photograph could not be delivered, or the file was damaged, and we could not put it right.
  • You were charged for a subscription period after you had cancelled.
  • The photograph is materially different from its preview or description.
  • A purchase was made without your authorisation.

Ask within 14 days of the charge. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, normally within 14 days of our agreeing to one; your bank may take a few more days to show it.

III

Changing your mind

A photograph cannot be returned for a change of mind once it has been delivered, because by then you have the full file. At checkout you ask for immediate delivery and confirm that you understand this.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this is the point at which your fourteen-day right to withdraw from a digital purchase ends. If a purchase is somehow not delivered, that right stays with you.

IV

Subscriptions

You can cancel at any time and keep everything already bought. The subscription runs to the end of the period paid for, and that period is not refunded in part. Credits you have not spent expire with it, unless your plan says they roll over.

If you cancel within 14 days of first subscribing and have not spent any of its credits, we refund that first payment in full.

V

What a refund does

A refunded purchase ends its license. Once a payment is refunded or reversed, the photographs it paid for can no longer be downloaded from your account, and you must stop using and delete the copies you have. The same is true of a chargeback through your bank.

Cancelling a subscription is not a refund, and takes nothing back.

VI

How to ask

Write to us with the email you buy under and the date of the charge. Please ask us before disputing a charge with your bank — it is quicker, and a dispute revokes the licenses that charge paid for.

Questions about any of this go to [email protected].
